Mandi & I are contemplating exactly how we want to reach our 150,000 mile goal on Jaded this coming year, after having a wildly fun time this past September. So we’ve come up with a couple of actual famed Motorcycle Runs we plan to hit.
First Ride- The Laughlin River Run, Laughlin, NV. April 24-27, 2015
The idea is to fly the girls into Vegas on the 20th, then take a trip up and around the Grand Canyon.
On Sunday Riding to Fredonia, AZ, and either grabbing a hotel there or staying on the North Rim Lodge (assuming its open).
On Monday we would proceed south to Grand canyon Village after a short sidestep to Tuba City for fuel, spending the night at Grand Canyon Village.
On Tuesday we would make our way through the southern side of the Grand Canyon National Park, then head back down to Topock, AZ and hangout with family & friends there. Accommodations as yet to be determined
On Wednesday, we might take a ride to Lake Havasu City and/or Oatman.
On Thursday head up to Laughlin NV for the 33rd Annual Laughlin River Run (We’ll need to decide well in advance where we want to stay, as most hotels sell out early.)
Friday & Saturday will be spent enjoying the Laughlin activities.
On Sunday the 28th, we’ll return our girls to the airport in Vegas before heading back home.
Riders Trip Down
I’ve mapped out a 3 day 1800 mile ride down (and 1800 back) overnighting in Klamath Falls, OR, Fallon, NV, and arriving in Las Vegas on Day 3.
We would leave to head down on Apr. 17th, 2015 and return on or about April 30th depending on how hard we push to get home.
More info on this run can be found at https://www.laughlinriverrun.com however, they’ve yet to start the 2015 information.
Second Ride- Bikes, Blues, & Brews, Fayetteville, AR. September 25-28, 2015
This trip Mandi will be riding down with and flying back. There just happens to be an airport in Fayetteville, AR.
This area is absolutely one of the most beautiful and inviting areas I’ve ever ridden, and I look forward to going back.
Anybody who cares to join us will have a great time and see a lot of great sites between here and the Rockies, then
honestly you’ll wish you could blink your eyes and skip Oklahoma, but then we arrive in beautiful and friendly Fayetteville Arkansas!
Here are the basics:
Arrive Wednesday, Sep 25th early evening, check into our rooms (again, we need to grab these well in advance, due to sell outs), grab any flyers from the airport, dinner/drinks early evening.
Thursday through Saturday enjoy the run, rides etc.
Sunday drop off flyers at airport early. head towards home.
Riders Trip Down
Again, I’ve mapped out a 5 day 2100 mile run down leaving on Saturday, Sep 21st and arriving on Wednesday Sep 25th.
Stops from the North include Tremonton, UT, Montrose, CO, Taos, NM, Amarillo, TX, and finally Fayetteville, AR.
Temps will vary and be aware we will be riding through Tornado Alley, never leave home without your leathers or rain gear. Pack ultra light, there are plenty of dealers stops along the route.
More info on this run can be found at http://www.bikesbluesandbbq.org/ however, they’ve yet to start the 2015 information.
