DISASTER strikes, our plans to cross over into Canada and drop back into NY were dashed. We got up jumped across the Canadian border declared a weapon… Who knew the Canucks don’t like handguns? Yeah, we got shutdown for doing the right thing and declaring. Anyway it’s now nearing the lunch hour by the time we clear both Canadian and US customs and decide to re-route straight to Mandi’s parents house in Wintersville OH, but it would have been a push to get there before they went to bed so we figured we could find a nice place to stay maybe along Lake Erie.

It turned out to be a decent day, after we blasted through Detroit, no stops here please. And grabbed lunch at a Wahlburgers, I really wish they’d move these out west it was delicious! We didn’t get a lot of pictures today, in truth I’m lucky to be alive as my wife and I think a few Detroiters wanted to kill me at different points in the day. But we did get an oil change on the bike and Stereo update (not that it helped).

We rode Mandi to her Alma Matter, for a look around. It took us an hour after we got there, and me visiting the campus Fire Station before we found the icon she wanted a picture of, but she’s worth it. We ended up finding a cool little place in Port Clinton, to stay that had an attached patio bar/restaurant that proved busy and popular.
