MegaPixel

Since her first rig was affectinately known as Pixel, this build being abit more MegaPixel was an obvious calling for her new ride. As I mentioned in a previous post it didn’t take Mandi long,  she literally had a dream sheet in her mind that Northridge was more than happy to fill out.

First up was outer protection. She ordered and we installed Hard Rock 4×4 aluminum bumpers front and back with her purple D-Rings for accent, along with some Hard Rock 4×4 step sliders, accented by Poison Spyder skins in a purple metal flake powder coating that was also used on her coil springs and interior cage thanks to American Wheel Specialists.

She chose a 2.5 Inch lift from Clayton Offroad to better fir her 35″ BFG KO2s and Wheels (soon to be upgraded), along with her favorite shocks the Teraflex Falcon SP2 3.3 Fast Adjust Piggyback Shocks. Up top she was missing the awning we saved from the JK, so we mounted a Rhino Rack and the Overland Vehicle Systems awning. Lighting was a challenge as we initially ordered a set of Oracle Lighting Colorshift LEDs only to findout they were 7 inch and OEM were 9 inch, so we needed brackets, that arrived and we installed but chose to revert to the OEM LEDS as they provided better lighting. We did use their Colorshift rock light though, and replaced the OEM LED fog lights with some Baja Designs amber Squadron-R SAE fog lights, and again chose Baja Designs Squadron Sport with combo lenses for some amber a piller lights and mounts.

Out back we opted for the Oracle Flush Mounted LED taillights, a 3rd brake light ring (inside the spare), and a Rugged Ridge Reinforced Tailgate Hinge & Tire Carrier. We also added both front and rear Rok Blokz Mud Flaps. We saved the hinge mounted steps from the JK, and opted for the Harbor Freight Apex 12,000 lb winch with purple synthetic line upfront, along with a 10 inch Rough Country single row lightbar for fill lighting, and a front mounted camera for those tough spots on the trail.

The interior got some love too, first we stripped out the small (40%) seat out and placed the storage box I had designed for her JK in it’s place, then added some Custom PRP Seat Covers with Purple accents, a new Midland MXT275 MicroMobile Two-Way Radio, and Hard Rock 4×4 3 Pc Bolt in Cage powder coated in the Purple Metal Flake as well. One more new add was a video mirror, that allows for viewing both front and back even when packed out, while recording too.

Under the hood we utilized the Aux Swith outputs, and we saved her Dual ARB On-Board Air System and mounted it up on the firewall below the brake booster with lines run to both bumpers and one connecter under the hood for extreme cold weather outings.

This was a fast build with a couple of items left on a wishlist, but a good start for her to get use to her new rig. Finishing the build allowed her to pack up her gear for overlanding similar to the way she had her JKUR outfitted. If you see her on the trails have a look as we believe she turned out awesome!
