There’s a rumor floating around that I might’ve messed up my brand spankin’ new tow rope Mandi bought for me special,  and it lived in it’s bag until it’s first use.

So I cut the ziptie, unraveled it back to the first rig (a 2 dr Jeep) it would be used on paying careful attention to make sure it layed out clean with no tangles all the way back to the Jeep, then walking forward I checked again.

Somehow I missed or maybe even saw a loop that looked like it would pull correctly. Unfortunately for my expensive gift rope it didn’t and quickly knotted. I realized as I was walking back that I had just put a giant TIGHT knot in my pristine rope, as you can see below…

I’m still working on a remedy, and have contacted both Matt’s & Yankum to see what can be done. Luckily it’s only 5 feet from one end, so maybe I can get Yankum to cut it and make a 25 footer. Time will tell, and I most likely won’t know until I head down that way in March…
